Grid Independent ecoislandTM microCHP
The ecoislandTM microCHP is the Grid independent version of our ecopowerTM microCHP. This unit can function in a totally off-grid application, or can be used as a backup residential power supply. It offers all the features of our standard microCHP, but now adds backup capability.
The schematic shown starts with the ecopower appliance (1), coupled with the electronics and battery package (2). Heat is stored in a buffer tank (3) for use throughout the building. The electric output from the generator in ecopower is complemented by the battery group (4). As shown, the system can be augmented by a solar package which is sold separately. Also, the entire system can be monitored and controlled via the internet or a local computer.
